Terms of use.

1. Agreement and eligibility

By creating an account, joining a pool, or using Office Pool, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. Do not use the service where doing so would violate law.

2. A points game—not a sportsbook

Office Pool is private league-management software for entertainment. It does not accept bets, sell wagering credits, set or take a share of stakes, hold entry fees or prizes, transmit money between users, or redeem points for cash. Points are fictional scorekeeping units with no monetary value and cannot be purchased, transferred, or withdrawn.

Any entry fee, prize, reimbursement, or settlement discussed by a pool is arranged and handled entirely outside Office Pool by its commissioner and members. Office Pool is not a party, escrow agent, trustee, fiduciary, bookmaker, payment processor, or guarantor of those arrangements.

3. Commissioners and pool rules

Commissioners create and administer independent private pools. They are solely responsible for eligibility, invitations, rules, fees, prizes, tax reporting, required disclosures, disputes, and compliance with laws applicable to their pool and members. Commissioners must communicate material rule changes and use their controls fairly.

Pool rules, commissioner decisions, and off-platform arrangements are between pool members. We may provide records and administrative tools, but we do not adjudicate private payment disputes or guarantee that a commissioner or player will perform an obligation.

4. Accounts and private access

Provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access through Help in your account. You are responsible for activity under your account until you notify us. Invite, receipt, standings, agent, and other private links may grant access to pool information; share them only with intended recipients and revoke them when appropriate.

5. Picks, locks, lines, and grading

A submitted pick is final unless the applicable pool rules or an authorized, audited commissioner control expressly allow otherwise. Picks lock at the displayed game time. Recorded submission time, frozen line, result, grading rule, and audit history control if a device display, notification, or cached page differs.

Schedules, odds, scores, and other sports data come from third parties and may be delayed, corrected, postponed, or unavailable. We may correct data, grades, balances, and standings when reliable source information changes. No displayed line, score, projection, or AI response is financial, gambling, or other professional advice.

6. Your content and league chatter

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Office Pool a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, resize, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the service and your pool.

Do not post unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, deceptive, infringing, malicious, or privacy-invasive content. Do not impersonate others or upload content you lack the right to use. We may remove content, restrict features, preserve evidence, or suspend accounts to protect users or the service.

7. Prohibited conduct

You may not bypass game locks or access controls; manipulate picks, grades, balances, invitations, or standings; scrape private data; probe or disrupt the service; introduce malware; automate abusive traffic; misuse another person’s identity or agent token; reverse engineer protected portions of the service; or use Office Pool to facilitate unlawful gambling, fraud, money laundering, or other illegal activity.

8. AI assistants and third-party services

Optional AI, MCP, authentication, messaging, sports-data, hosting, app-store, and other integrations are provided by third parties under their own terms. AI output may be inaccurate. You remain responsible for reviewing every pick before submission and for protecting agent credentials. We are not responsible for third-party services, outages, content, or acts.

9. Service changes, suspension, and deletion

We may modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue features; correct errors; or restrict access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, maintenance, abuse prevention, or service integrity. You may stop using the service and can request account deletion from Account. Certain de-identified league records may remain so deleting an account does not rewrite historical standings.

10. Records, notices, and no reliance

Receipts, audit events, standings, emails, and notifications are operational records, not financial statements or legal advice. You are responsible for reviewing confirmations and reporting a suspected error promptly. A delayed or missing notification does not extend a pick deadline or change an accepted ticket.

We may send service notices electronically to the email address or account interface associated with you. You are responsible for keeping that address current and for maintaining your own copies of records needed for personal, tax, or pool-administration purposes.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Office Pool is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, accuracy, or fitness for any pool, contest, tax, or legal purpose. We do not guarantee invitations, notifications, data feeds, results, or recovery of lost content.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Office Pool and its owners, personnel, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits, goodwill, data, opportunities, entry fees, or prizes; or disputes between pool members. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid directly to Office Pool for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so these limits apply only as far as law permits.

13. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Office Pool and its owners, personnel, affiliates, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your content, your pool administration or off-platform money arrangements, your violation of these terms or law, or your infringement of another person’s rights.

14. Disputes and governing law

Before filing a claim against Office Pool, contact us through Help in your account and allow 30 days for an informal resolution. These terms are governed by Hawaii law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, claims involving Office Pool must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Honolulu County, Hawaii. Nothing here limits non-waivable consumer rights.

15. Mobile platforms

Apple, Google, and other app distributors are not parties to these terms, sponsors of any pool, or responsible for Office Pool, pool rules, support, prizes, or claims. Your use of a mobile app must also follow the applicable store’s terms. Store providers may be third-party beneficiaries of provisions that concern their platform.

16. Office Pool property and feedback

The service, software, visual design, branding, documentation, and other materials supplied by Office Pool are owned by or licensed to Office Pool and protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service as intended; they do not transfer any ownership rights.

If you send ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you authorize Office Pool to use them without restriction, attribution, or compensation. To report content you believe infringes your rights, use Help and identify the work, the challenged material, your contact information, and the basis for your claim.

17. General legal terms

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Office Pool about the service and replace prior discussions on that subject. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

You may not assign these terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a reorganization, financing, sale, merger, or transfer of the service. We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events reasonably outside our control. Headings are for convenience only. Electronic notices and records satisfy written-notice requirements to the extent permitted by law.

Provisions concerning ownership, acceptable use, pool responsibility, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, disputes, and any terms that by their nature should continue will survive account closure or termination of the service.

18. Accessibility, changes, and contact

We work to make Office Pool usable by people with disabilities. Use Help in your account to report an accessibility barrier or request a reasonable alternative. We may update these terms prospectively. We will post the revised date and provide additional notice when legally required. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
